❝ 30-Day Book Challenge ❞ | day 20

D a y  2 0 – favorite romance novel.

❝ Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.❞

RAINBOW ROWELL, EnLEANOR AND PARK

If I had even a speck of doubt in my heart regarding the fact that Eleanor and Park is my favorite romance book, John Green’s review totally erased that. Wow, Eleanor and Park is seriously one of the best, if not the best, romance novels ever.

Every novel has some sort of conflict somewhere in the book, with Eleanor and Park they were the problem. Society couldn’t accept the fact that Eleanor and Park liked each other. The Korean guy and the huge redhead, according to the world, just didn’t belong together.

The language used in Eleanor and Park was quite simple, but it was so mesmerizing; you just couldn’t put it down once you’d started it. It’s like a nagging feeling at the back of your mind, what happens next? I think I finished it in a period of five hours and that, for me, is really really really fast. We’re talking the speed of light fast. The Flash fast. Seriously, I don’t finish books that fast.

One big mystery that’s yet to be solved is what was written on that note at the end of the book. Three letters… I love you? But no, that’s just not something Eleanor would say. Nothing ever ends? I’m leaning more towards this because both Eleanor and Park were into comics and Park once said that a character from The Watchmen said that; so that could kind of be their ‘I love you’? (Maybe ‘nothing ever ends’ will be our always. #tfios)

Well, that’s that, Eleanor and Park, ladies and gentlemen!

That’s all for today, see you around. ✌️
