MARKUS ZUSAK, THE BOOK THIEF
Although this was probably one of the hardest decisions in my life, it’s safe to say that ‘The Book Thief’ was the best book I read last year.
Yes, I read a lot of other good books; yes, I’m never going to forgive myself for choosing one book out of so many others; yes, I realize what a pathetic human being I am for not standing for ‘book equality’, but all that aside; no, I don’t regret my choice. The Book Thief is one of my all-time favorites and I hold it very dear to my heart.
FUN FACT: I actually cried, as in shed actual tears, upon finishing ‘The Book Thief’. Yes, I cried. Now that might come off as normal to you, but I never ever cry because of books or movies or anything of that sort (I know, shocking). I just don’t. Well, that’s not true now.
All that said, definitely give it a try; if you haven’t already, that is.
